We’re used to Trump’s nonsense. His whole brand is grifting and pushing boundaries, so no, this isn’t shocking. But pushing third-term merch is a lot, even for him.
And while we can laugh at his ugly, overpriced merch, we can’t afford to get desensitized. That’s how they slip dangerous things past us — by making the absurd seem normal.
You can’t run for a third term. That’s the law. The 22nd Amendment exists. But Trump treats laws like suggestions, especially when they get in his way.
This is all part of a coordinated push to dismantle democracy — bit by bit. And history shows that when democracy is under attack, Black communities are among the first to feel the consequences.
