Frieze Fair NYC 2018
Black Lives Matter Arts+Culture partnered with Frieze NY, the art fair that showcases the world’s leading contemporary and modern galleries and artists to celebrate its collaboration with Black Panther icon Emory Douglas, which incorporates limited edition prints, of the important work, “We Shall Survive Without A Doubt”, along with an accompanying video of Mr. Douglas describing his work and his partnership with Black Lives Matter Arts+Culture.
In celebration of the 5th year anniversary of #BlackLivesMatter, BLM launched a collaboration with legendary Emory Douglas in 2018 with exclusive, limited edition of numbered, signed prints of Douglas’s “We Shall Survive Without A Doubt,” currently sold out on #BLMShop. BLM is inspired by Douglas’s beloved piece and its commitment to centering Black life, love, joy and service. First seen in 1971 on the back cover of The Black Panther Monthly, Issue #30, Douglas’ iconic collage features Black Panther cubs in their full joy, experiencing the revolutionary social programs the Panthers created for the Black community.
